A simple breakdown of my experience
The location next to vibrant Xochimilco is perfect for exploring charming neighborhoods. Gorgeous city views from the restaurant and a decent breakfast buffet added to the experience. However, access to the downtown area can be tricky because of heavy traffic noise, so be prepared for some street hustle. Clean and comfortable accommodations made our stay enjoyable.

massive rooms, nice variety of dumbbells, good distance to Centro
No water refill station!!! Elevator only goes to sixth floor—get ready for a climb!!! Traffic noise is a constant nuisance near rooms and the pool. It's overpriced for what you get!!!

Family with children will enjoy it
Massive rooms and super clean. I LOVE the Blasón filter coffee! The gym is tiny but they have a nice variety of dumbbells.
It wasn’t inexpensive but still acceptable.

Just a fitting option for a weekend vacation in Oaxaca with exceptional value. The staff at the restaurant seemed a bit sleepy but eventually warmed up to us, making our dining experience a bit better. Avoid rooms near the road for a quieter stay.

The room was huge and super clean, making it perfect for our family of five plus our two dogs. We loved the close proximity to Centro, just a 15-20 minute walk away, and the staff was incredibly friendly, providing great recommendations for our outings.
For dads, it would be great if they had more areas for dogs to play.

While the location is great, we did encounter some noise from the street which was a bit distracting at night.

would love to return
The double room with two double beds had air conditioning and a flat-screen TV. I enjoyed the spacious private bathroom stocked with free toiletries and fresh towels. The hotel had a relaxing spa for some downtime. It’s just a short walk to the city center, making it easy to explore Oaxaca.

Fortin Plaza has some great features. The staff was really pleasant and always willing to help. The view from the restaurant was breathtaking, especially at sunset. I enjoyed the spacious and clean room, which made my stay comfortable. The swimming pool, surrounded by plants, provided a nice retreat after exploring the city. However, the hotel is a bit out of the main tourist area, which made getting around more challenging. I had some trouble with the Wi-Fi during my stay, and the noise from the traffic outside was quite bothersome at times. The restaurant's food quality didn't meet my expectations, especially considering the fantastic dining options around Oaxaca.
